Ophelia Egypt Program Center provides a safe haven for teens and young adults in Wards 7 and 8. PPMW's Teen Program Center offers a wide array of after-school programs, in addition to our "Tuesday Are For Teens" Teen Clinics and daily Youth Peer Leadership activities.
FLY - Facilitating Leadership in Youth is a nonprofit organization making a difference East of the Anacostia River by investing in the future of Barry Farm youth. FLY's success is a result of a unique, long-term, youth-led approach that matches students beginning in elementary school through high school with individual volunteer tutors and mentors. Friendship House - helps people find alternatives to life-long poverty, to counteract the breakdown in family life and to establish partnerships with individuals in the solutions to their situations. Through innovative programs, Friendship House provides goods and services to those in crisis, uses social institutions to better meet community needs, and provides advocacy, family support, and education services to the poor to enable them to exercise their rights and participate effectively in community life. Perry School Community Services Center - Perry Center, Inc. through a collaborative, comprehensive and integrated approach to social services, economic empowerment and youth development, eradicates poverty, its causes and consequences, resulting in positive outcomes for youth, adults and families, within its defined service area.
